This is northern Arizona's answer for skiing. People come from Phoenix, California and beyond to ski here at Arizona snowbowl. After several dry years the past year was booming- we had enough snow for the facility to open early and stay open for an extended period of time. They have the usual lodge and ski rental. Most people stay at the hotels in Flagstaff and drive up to snowbowl to ski. The lines get long pretty early on the weekends and Snowbowl can actually close for lack of any more parking so come early. There is some controversy right now over snow making- will be interesting to see how that pans out. Come on over and do some skiing!!
