PROFESSIONALS, AT FIRST GLANCE. POOR COMMUNICATION. 9/4/2019

PUNTA GORDA, FL – I've been doing business with D.F. – real estate agent with ReMax Anchor Realty – since September 2013. It's been a love-hate business relationship with this agent. Most of the time she was able to get me good, decent tenants who were responsible and financially solvent with a secured long-term employment so they can pay their rent on-time. But the last rental lease agreement she did for me after 'screening' and 'vetting' the tenants, turned out to be a complete disaster. She was scammed by the tenants who pre-paid in advance 5-months of rent and afterwards they simply stopped paying their rent. It was always an excuse not to pay: they got swindled and their bank account was drained; they were no longer receiving federal assistance and currently didn’t have a job. I even had to do all of the phone calls and set up appointments with social services so these people can get money so they can pay their rent. In the end, D.F my agent from ReMax Anchor Realty did a poor job. She would not return phone calls nor emails promptly, and she had an attitude that was not friendly towards the end - scaring me to do fixups to my house or it would be condemned by the county. It turned out that the tenants were purposely damaging the entire plumbing system so they could file a lawsuit - professional scammers until the very end. Thank goodness I was able to hire an attorney and file for an eviction and won the judgement. The tenants are out, and I won’t do business with D.F. or ReMax Anchor realty again – their agents may seem professional at first, but later don’t communicate promptly about the conditions of the property. more
