Poor Transmission Service, Unacceptable Customer Service...Trans Tek Auto Services.
I had a terrible experience with this transmission and auto service shop. My vehicle's transmission went out and I the repair shop that I had it sent to sub-contracted the work out to this shop. When I was told to pick up the vehicle because it was ready, I found that it was not. The mechanic tried to double charge for the work and I immediately told him that this was being paid for through the other shop. When I got into my vehicle I noticed that the gears were slipping and would not fall into place and I mentioned it to the mechanic and he dismissed it. I would not take the vehicle off the lot and demanded that he fix the gear shift properly. I waited in a dirty office with poor air conditioning and was accompanied by a large dog on a chain. When the mechanic returned he told me that he had already test driven my car for 30 minutes and that it didnt overheat on him. I told him it never overheated on me either and he was surprised. I told him that we both need to test drive the vehicle and he said he didnt have time. He said that I should take it home drive it around for two weeks and if anything is wrong with it that I should bring it back. Once I drove it for 40 minutes the transmission started to fail. I do not recommend this transmission repair shop to anyone who wants quality work done to their car. In my opinion this shop is unprofessional and their business tactics are questionable.
