Durham Deli is a really great deli that is really easy to drive by, but if you stop in you will find a fabulous selection of delicious deli foods and personal service. I sometimes make something I call a "hoagie dip" and basically what it is is all the yummy insides of a hoagie, in a dish. You scoop it up and eat it with bagel pieces or whatever. It's really good, if I do say so myself. Well I make an Italian version of this dip using italian meats such as capacola and genoa with wine sauce, I use shredded mozzerella cheese and onions. lettuce, tomato, and splash it with that delicious submarine sauce you can find at deli's too. (My niece actually did this recipe originally but with regular meats and mayo, like an American hoagie.) I prefer Italian. But in any case and the point of the whole review is that when you buy your meats at Durham Deli they will happily slice them into the little chunks you need to make the hoagie dip!! Save mega time and energy doing it yourself at home! And since hoagie dip is a top requested item at our gatherings during these summer months you can save yourself alot of elbow grease by visiting the friendly folks at Durham Deli.
