I,m ret,army..i have seen many animal shelters in my life,all over the usa,and have been dealing with Lancaster's shelter for 30 years,if they spent half the time worrying about the animals instead of how they look the animal would be better off....their lost and found is a joke..i find about one lost dog a week,This one beagle was about 15 years old,deaf and blind in one eye,,i called lanc,animal shelter every day to see if the owner called ,and walked the roads knocking on doors,,,two weeks went by and i found the owner,i ask him why he didn't call the shelter ,he said he did,every day for two weeks..i thought he might be lying, i went to the shelter,and there was his card on the lost dog wall,,there was my card on the found wall,,there was only one old beagle deaf blind in one eye dog in pequea,,two weeks that everybody in that place miss it.that shelter needs to be shut down every body let go,and start over with new staff...
