Superb Cleaner Does Their Own Shirts 12/16/2006

I live in a ultra-luxe building on the UES, with 500 apts. Virtually everyone sends their cleaning out through the building's valet, who monitors all in-and-outs of cleaning, packages, etc. Virtually everyone who moves in uses their previous cleaner, until they finally get fed up with missing buttons on shirts, stains that aren't removed, etc. Then they ask the valet for a recommendation, and they are advised to use Natasha's. Then they don't complain any more. The valet says that he has *never*, repeat *never* had a complaint about Natasha's, which says something in a building filled with self-important Masters of the Universe, who complain about everything. My experience was typical. Usually, one shirt per shipment from my old cleaner was unusable -- stain, missing collar button, etc. With Natasha's, not a one in three years. Every shirt perfect. Done right there by their staff, not sent downtown to the giant laundries that do almost all the shirts in the city for the little mom-and-pop stores. If you need it same day, Natasha's does it for you. If you point out a rip in your suit, or whatever, they fix it. Often, when you forget to point it out, they fix it anyway. They charge $2 a man's dress shirt, but I end up at least even, since every shirt is wearable. Flat out, hands-down the best cleaner for the price in the neighborhood. The next step up is Hallak or Madame Paulette, the latter of which literally charges ten times as much and is probably only worth it if you are wearing $5000 suits and $500 shirts. more
