Unfortunately at 3am we finally found the only room available going Eastward from Amarillo due to the fact that there were rodeos going on in each town that we were unaware of. The lobby was filled with marijuana smoke and the attendant was not happy to be disturbed. The room was filthy, we were afraid to even walk in the bathroom, much less try and use it. We were thankful we'd brought our own pillows and blankets. In THIS case, we would have been better off sleeping in our car!
