The bagels at Izzy's are superb, and I say that even though I haven't tried each of the myriad varieties, but those I have tried are far superior to anything I've found in Orange County/Los Angeles.
The folks behind the counter are very fast with the service, and always quick with the order.
My fave is their cinammon-raisin, slathered with a heavy coat of peanutbutter. I find this a hauntingly decadent delight.
Izzy keeps a supply of books and newspapers on hand, and the ambience is always laidback and pleasant.
