Bickford House is located in an up and coming part of town at the end of a long drive, manor-style. The doors are keypad locked and if you don't have the code, they come out to get you or buzz you in if you have an appointment. The interior is furnished in high style with lots of elaborately framed pictures and gorgous wallpapers. There are elevators to the different floors, like a luxury hotel. The staff are super friendly, and everyone seems to always be happy and smiling. They play bingo and cards, and downstairs is a lounge area with a TV and a mini kitchen. Residents are given as much care as they need, and visits are always encouraged. A local cross stitch group meets twice a month in their lounge room, and seniors are encouraged to join them to chat or to work on needlepoint, and the group has donated several gorgeous works to the House itself.
