My only repeat nail salon in this area has been LA Nail. The salon itself is set up for a women's paradise: The TV shows talk shows and soap operas. The whole place is decorated in a feminine style. You sign in at the door, writing down what you want and then pick your nail color. I always get a French Manicure, which is $5 more. The pedicure section is in back, and it's alwasy fun to watch the airbrushers at work. The staff enjoy chatting or will sit in silence if you're having a bad day. They are also gentle on a newbie and will walk you through the process. They don't take appointments, however, so tell your sweetie to bring a book if he's hanging around to pay for you!
