We live in the bayarea and made a special trip to go cake tasting in the Reno area as my niece decided to get married in Reno. When we came upon Tauma's Bakery, we were so amaze on how delicious her cakes are. The are moist and fluffy. The buttercream frosting is to die for and what can I say, the filling brings them all together to make such a tasteful cake.
Three weeks prior to the wedding, we ordered the cake from her for October 28th. On that date, we went to pick up the cake which she had ready for us and gave us some tips on how to setup for presentation. The guest were amaze on the presentation but mostly on how delicious the complete cake was. They kept asking us for the name of the bakery. When we told them it was a local bakery in Reno, they thought we had brought it from a bakery in the bayarea. They are willing to make the trip up to Reno just for Tauma's baked goods. She does an AWESOME job and the price is right.
We ordered a three tier cake all different flavors. The 10 inch was white cake with strawberry filling, the 8 inch cake was chocolate with banana filling and the 6 inch cake was lemon with lemon filling. I tried all three and it's hard to say which one was my favorite as they are all delicious.
