I ended up bringing in a desktop computer and they kept it for about a week to clean it out. Good thing I backed up my files because a bunch were wiped out. The diagnostic was a whopping $70, the whole repair probably cost about $150. Too much for just a very simple automatic test and a couple of tweaks.
