Iowa City does not lack in its selection of restaurants, and the Summit is one of my favorites. The menu offers an excellent selection without the inflated prices common to the area. The food never disappoints in taste or appearance, and portions are ample without being gluttonous.
Summertime allows for a quaint outdoor experience on their street side patio, which is covered and fenced with decorative iron work. The checkered tiled floor brings you back to an era when the dining experience was as much about the company and conversation as it was the food. Decorated in memorabilia from the Rat Pack, Sinatra and his friends would be sure to make this a regular hot spot.
