It would be difficult, as someone who doesn't like sushi for any Japanese restaurant to blow me away because I think the steak and chicken dishes taste the same no matter which one I am at, but the person I was with said that their sushi was quite good and the green tea ice cream we had at the end of the night was an experience, to say the least. The steak dish was good, but perhaps a little fatty and underdone. In St. Augustine, I know that the Mikato Japanese steak house has better sushi and the Fusion point sushi restaurant has very good chicken teriyaki. Yamato was a little dark and cold inside, difficult to make one's self comfortable. The service was excellent, though, and we weren't upset that we'd gone, just unsure if we'd ever return.
