I have always had a great experience at Surf City. Not only are the coffee and desserts excellent, but the service is as well. Servers are always friendly, and there is a very comfortable atmosphere. Now, when I say best coffee in Santa Cruz County, let me say that I have been to every coffee shop and this coffee has far surpassed my expectations. Their very best drink is the blended ice coffee drink called Hang Ten. In my opinion, this is the best blended mocha I have EVER tasted. I have been to several different coffee shops in California, and I always try their blended mocha. This is the best! They have their own mocha powder, which makes this drink much better than any ordinary coffee shop could ever make. Be sure to try their cookies. I recommend the molasses ginger snap. It's a perfect combination with the Hang Ten. Second best is the Peanut Butter Hang Ten.
