Famous Dave's is real full-flavored Bar-B-Que.
The place has a lot of character. A sign hangs in the entrance that reads, "We love vegetarians. They make us laugh." The restaurant is outfitted with wood boards for walls that give the impression of eating in a cabin in the woods. It's decorated with oars, fishing nets, metal signs, and other items that evoke the outdoors.
I recommend going with friends and ordering the All-American BBQ Feast - "A full slab of spareribs, a whole chicken, ½ pound of either Texas beef brisket or Georgia chopped pork, coleslaw, Famous Fries, Wilbur Beans, four corn bread muffins and four corn-on-the-cob."
That's a lot of food (and a real bargain). They say it's for 4-5 people, but I've split it with six people and we still had leftovers.
