When my brother and sisters and I were little (ages 6-12), back in the late 60's, early 70's - our mother would take us to Smale's and we would pick up paper grocery bags full of pretzels and take them to the shopping center on Linden Ave. where my mom would drop us off to sell them!!!! We had a blast, but can you imagine today being dropped off to do such a thing? Those are some of my best memories of growing up in Dayton. Anne I.
