Right on the square in Arcata, and thereby a short walk to nearly everywhere a traveler would go, there is this quiet, comfortable hotel, with real people, deep tubs, comfortable beds, wireless, good coffee,. The price really is competitive with the corporate motels around, so you may as well go to a real homey place. The building has been maintained well, and has lost little of its original feel. I am sure it was noisier before wall to wall carpeting.
We seldom treat ourselves to hotels, but this was worth it!
