The Purple Cow is one of the best thrift stores I have ever shopped at. If I am ever in the market for a used item, the Purple Cow is always one of my first stops. The store, like most thrift stores, takes donations and the proceeds of their sales benefit a battered womens organization (I forget which one). The store has a large selection of all types of items: books (a great Christian book selection, among others), housewares, electronics, furniture, clothes and toys. I have bought several books there, most of them to complete a particular series I am collecting. I got hardback books in great condition for anywhere from 99 cents to 1.99. What a great deal! I have also bought a tv for $35 (a 19' I think) that works perfectly and many housewares and decorations. The employees are very friendly and willing to help you (one guy carried my tv to my car for me). This is an all-around great store.
