I've been told that Pamela's is considered the best place(s) for breakfast in Pittsburgh, but there's one major strike against it. The coffee stinks. It's really quite awful. This was my experience when I went to the Squirrel Hill location and others have agreed with me when I have mentioned it. My hotcakes (banana chocolate chip, really a crepe) were pretty tasty, but a little greasy. I went on a Saturday, so it was also a long wait and very crowded. My party of 6 barely fit at our table and were constantly in the way of the waitress trying to make her way through.
