Ebenezer is the place to go! This is a Free clinic to go to and see a dr. Well, the dr's have finished school & just finishing up with their hours so they may get their degree. You also have to fall within income guidelines, which are similar to WIC's higher guidelines. If you are I believe 130% below poverty level they will give you a hospital card, which will pay for blood work, x-rays and emergency room visits.
They have a pharmacy program, which again, the guidelines for this program are even higher then the clinic. Which you can get [prescriptions for $3 each, but not to exceed $12 if over 4 are filled. If they do not have the prescription they will help you fill out the proper paperwork ( or do it there selves) and submit it to get it for you. They have a variety, but still are limited. One of the things they do not do or do not help you get is narcotics.
They also have a WONDERFUL guy come in once a week for counseling sessions. And let me tell you, he is a life saver! He is great! He has helped me through some of the worst times in the past year...being diagnosed with Endometriosis, Family issues, behavior issues with my children, you name it! Seems like it's always something.
The staff is amazing! Every time I call in they are very friendly. I am so glad that I was able to get in here as my husbands work does not offer insurance & we are low enough income wise to qualify for teh clinic, but over income for the hospital card.
And best of all, they don't make you feel like an outcast! They are very sincere!
