Do not hire these guys for your move!
In reference to job number 027, date of move April 23-26, 2012. My husband and I moved from Florida to Texas, we are professionals moving for a job change. I interviewed several movers and meet the owner of Motivated Movers. I was impressed and showed him the entire home contents that were to be moved. Moving day, a nightmare, they showed up late, ok I can deal with that. Next the truck was a rental from Ryder, I questioned was that truck big enough for a 3 bedroom house move, I was assured it would be fine. My husband and I continued to get our personal packing done and bought biscuits for breakfast for the crew. The crew at first worked well, then loading began, well there was not enough room, so suddenly our things began to thrown into boxes, then cramping our expensive furniture into this too small truck. Well then the crew chief said he had to go to U-Haul to rent an additional vehicle. While he was gone, a frenzy of packing started, my leather couch from Ethan Allen was thrown into the truck, and it has been damaged of course. After an hour the crew chief calls he needs the truck because U-Haul won't rent them a pull behind without the truck to connect too. End of story is numerous items are damaged, my leather furniture is damaged. I paid $5,390.00 that's a lot of money to have my things damaged. I contacted Motivated Movers for repairs and guess what? No contact. I am filing a complaint with BBB next. Don't hire these guys! Beware!!!! They come off good at the hire me meeting but are very unprofessional!
The damages to my property is over $5,000.00. I have contacted the company on numerous occasions they will not respond to my complaints. I emailed pictures of damaged items to Jefftsmith@bellsouth.net as instructed, guess what? The owner ignores my complaint. BEWARE this is how you will be treated if you hire these people.
