The pressure relief valve on my water heater started leaking. I called Patriot Plumbing. They looked at it and recommended I replace the whole water heater. According to the plumber, once the valves start developing problems, it is normally downhill from there. When I asked if there was anything that could be done, he said no and that I needed to replace the entire heater. I was charged $90 for his 15 minute visit.
Being charged $90 for not doing anything except offering a professional assessment is scandalous and greedy. Additionally, I had another plumber take a look and he said that the water heater itself was actually fine and it only requires a replacement valve
