One of my favorite restaurants to eat at is Tomato Street (the other is Red Lobster). Tomato Street is a great Italian restaurant. They have a fun atmosphere, great food and service and a wonderful menu selection.
All of the employees wear some sort of funny, funky, unique hat at all times. It's fun to look at all the different hats and see what they are wearing, as each visit is different! From hard hats to baseball caps to cartoon hats, the list goes on!
The tables are covered with white paper, your waitress writes her name on the paper. And then you and the kids can draw on the table too while you wait. They also give the kids play-do and string and dry noodles to make a necklace. This is a great thing to keep the kids occupied while waiting for the food to arrive.
They have the BEST garlic bread, that they refill as often as you like. Great side salads before you meal as well. Their menu selection is great. Lasagne, calzones, burgers, chicken, pasta and so much more! My personal favorite is the shrimp aragosta! And my husband loves their calzones.
The walls are decorated with shelves stacked high with tomato sauce cans! And the celing is painted as well. It's a very fun environment! And it's very clean and tidy.
Tomato Street is located on Appleway, next to Walgreen's. Lots of parking. And there is a nice waiting area in the lobby.
My huband took me here for my most recent birthday (in July) and I was totally embarassed. He told our waitress it was my birthday and the entire staff sang to me! And they put this HUGE goofy looking hat on me and put a large candle in front of me. After the singing, they gave me a free dessert - brownines and ice cream!
