stays in business by ripping people off 5/17/2012

I went in last summer to consign some high end dresses (Nicole Miller, BCBG, Adrianna Papell etc --each dress current season, and only worn 1x). The woman was kind of rude when I told her I was not 100% sure about consigning one of my beloved dresses.....My fault I guess for bringing it in, then changing my mind-- OK. A few weeks go by and I contacted her to see if any of my dressses had sold--Sure enough they had. So I asked her how I would get payment.....She never responded! I sent numerous e-mails and left messages. I work full time, go to school 6 credit hours and I'm a new mom so my free time to go chasing dishonest people is minimal. When I finally went in to the store-- I was told I exceeded my time limit to claim my money. So here it is folks--this is how they stay in business. My husband suggested I sue, but I think it's better to tell you what a low life the woman is who runs this place so hopefully she doesn't screw anyone else over. more

Our consignors can request a check for their sales for up to 12 months at which point unclaimed balances are donated to Hasbro Children's Hospital. This is included in all of our consignment agreements and is explained at the time of consignment. We do not "rip people off" and to categorize us as such not only hurts our business but it impedes all of the additional work that we do in raising money for such a worthy organization. Nonetheless, we are deeply regretful for this person's experience and will try harder in the future to attain a higher level of customer satisfaction.
