I had the good fortune of going to Domo 77 for my first visit to a Japanese Steakhouse. Since then, I have tried both Benihana and Ron of Japan and they cannot compete with Domo 77. First off, it is an entertaining dining experience where the chef cooks all the food right in front of you, performing various culinary tricks all the while. Unless you have eight people, you will likely be sharing a table with strangers which always makes the meal more interesting. Kids are especially appreciative of the chef's tricks, so it is a great place to take your family.
Their selections include teriyaki chicken, filet mignon, and lobster among other items such as seafood and salads. My personal favorite is the filet mignon and lobster combo (If you get this, go with the french garlic option for the lobster - it is fantastic). Soup, fried rice and a vegetable side is typically included with each meal. They also have a sushi bar which is quite good.
The only issue I have would be that perhaps the portions are a bit small for the prices charged. Other than that, it has a great atmosphere, great service, and, most importantly, delicious food.
