Most things you might need for a pet 7/3/2006

If you're looking for dog clothes, especially cute stylish ones, there are plenty of overpriced boutiques you might visit. However, if you need supplies, training, grooming or a vet, this is the place for you. This is a corporately run mega-store, so the variety of pet stuff is huge. They may not have a huge selection in each type of item, but they do carry most things you'll need for most types of pets. This store does NOT have a tack section unlike some of the suburban stores; nor does it have a "Petshotel" kennel. Yes I work at Petsmart. The staff at this location is generally older and more gracious than the teens and twenty somethings who work at most Petsmarts. And yes we have unhappy customers. Name me a retail outlet that has no unhappy customers! This Petsmart is one of the better examples of what retail can be, imho. Also Petsmart has a charity division that only supports no kill shelters. In fact, every Petsmart has space allocated for local shelters to use. They DO NOT sell cats or dogs, since so many animals end up in shelters, where many if not most are euthenized (that means killed). This particular Petsmart hosts Friends for LIfe, which has actually found homes for cats and dogs the SPCA was about to put down. as well as various birds and small mammals people have brought in. They've also found homes for every cat dumped on this Petsmart locations doorstep. more
