The first movie I saw there was Gone with the Wind. The year was 1973 and my mom made me go. I loved the movie and the theatre. It had an old pop machine that dispensed cups for 25 cents. There was freshly popped popcorn with REAL butter. Also you bought you tickets from the little booth that faced the street. It had a big neon sign that read "Shores Madrid" above the movie titles. It was the best!! Two movies for a buck. I continue my love of this theatre to this day. I appreciate the updates and friendly service. I have been attending movies there for 26 years and still do "Movie Night" with my friends.
