Affectionately referred to as “The Fame” by friends, the Fame Coffee Shop offers great diner fare at very low prices, with great service, at a great location. The booths in the front offer a view of Grand Avenue, and this coffee shop has been a staple for Maspeth residents for years. The thick milkshakes and burgers are excellent, the salads are big, the service is speedy and the back dining room can accommodate large parties. The menu rivals a thick novel in its length, and includes sandwich favorites named for Maspeth, Middle Village, and the LIE. The breakfast selections are exceptional.
