Petra is where the old Ali Babba restaurant was housed. One of the neat things about Petra is they offer a super wide variety of fares. You can from Middle Eastern traditional cuisine to fine gourmet American-inspired dishes. Kal Darres, the owner, hails from Jordan and has trained in some of the best restaurants around the world. My high recommendations include veal, steak and the lobster ravioli. The appetizers are special and change fairly regularly. They don't have a liquor license to sell alcohol, but you can bring your own (which significantly lowers the overall bill) and they won't even charge you a corking fee. The casual, low-key restaurant with fantastic service and food is a must visit in Erie.
