This place is totally excellent. They make great sandwiches, but that's not my main focus. What I love is absolutely everything else.
Basically, I can spend hours, literally hours, wandering around this huge deli and gawking at all of the bulk herbs and spices, the bulk pasta in every shape, the vast array of candies and chocolates I've never heard of or had totally forgotten from all over the world, the specialty foods, the cookbooks, the sorbet, the ice cream... just everything. Plus, at least once upon a time, they had dinner and opera music on Friday nights. Totally, totally awesome.
