My now husband didn't know the first thing about buying diamonds when he went shopping for my engagement ring - not only was Charlie incredibly patient in explaining all the details from selection to setting, not only did he give him (us?) a great deal, but he honestly cared about us as customers. Within the hour I got engaged, I was told that we had to go see Charlie the next day, that he wanted to meet me. He's the kind of shopkeeper with whom you have a long standing relationship, and you can trust him to do right by you.
We wound up buying our bands from him, I bought my husband a watch, my husband bought me a necklace...and we fully intend to go back, if we ever need anything else!
