Tacos Lupita is certainly one of Somerville's hidden gems. The small, sparsely decorated Salvadoran restaurant is inconspicuously tucked away at one end of Elm Street, and holds some of the most delicoius food inside. The gorditas are a favorite, filled with the meat of your choice, along with lettuce, cheese, and two salsas (skip the red and stick to the fantastic salsa verde). The pupusas are also great and a real bargain. With a selection of Mexican sodas and such to wash down your food, a full meal can be bought for cheap here, with quick, friendly service to boot. However, don't plan to bring your vegetarian friends here, as the menu consists solely of meat items!
