Home Depot is one of those stores that you can shop in for hours! It has everything for your home improvement needs you can ask for. We normally go to Home Depot about once every other week and never come out empty handed.
They have a huge selection, competitive pricing (compared to other local hardware stores) and their customer service is exceptional.
I'm not sure were they find their employees, but they seem to know everything. If I want to buy the right stain for my deck they know exactly which will be best and tell me all the pros and cons of each product.
Last year we purchased carpet from them and the sales associate in the flooring department was more than helpful. She allowed us to take home 7 large carpet samples and said we could take even more if we wanted. They sent someone out to measure the room and showed me on the computer how the carpet would be laid out and where the seams if any would be. If I didn't like it they would change it.
We had one small problem, but when we called Home Depot they took care of immediately.
If you have any returns at Home Depot they are hassle free. With receipt you get your money back, without a receipt you get a store credit. No questions asked.
The only con about Home Depot is that it can be somewhat dangerous for small children. I have seen unattended equipment in the aisles and stacked pallets on the top shelving that didn't look all that safe. If going into Home Depot with small children keep them either in a shopping card or hold their hands at all times. Best bet is to leave them at home.
