I can't brag enough about Smokey Bones!! We love baby back ribs and here in Maine they are hard to get (good that is). Smokey Bones opened up last summer and it's been one of our regular eateries. You have to get there early because they do not take reservations and by 5:00pm there is a long wait to get into the doors. We generally get there by 4:30p and have a short wait at the bar. We always get a few drinks and some wings at the bar before getting seated. Their wings are GREAT - not too hot, but enough kick to enjoy.
We both get baby back ribs and they are fantastic! They give you a paper bag for the bones which I find to be a nice touch. The ribs are smoked to perfection, the meat practically falls off the bones as you bite into them.
The service is great, we always get very cheerful and energetic servers who are always very attentive to our needs.
The atmosphere is wonder. They have about 5 or 6 different TV stations running with TV's at different stations. Each table has a control box you can set to listen to whichever TV show you are interested in or you can turn the sound off. The kids enjoy watching and listening to the TVs.
I highly recommend this restaurant to both singles, couples, families or groups.
