Not hair health focused 1/8/2012

Just moved to area and was impressed with the web presentation and new building, so gave it a try. After all, it was just a shampoo and style. Have fine hair but had to remind shampoo girl to not lay a fine tooth comb to my hair at the root and force pull wet hair (several times). Then to set the hair on rollers, she used "water" only. I know we are in a recession but I'm sure they did not lower service price by not using a setting liquid. Worst of it all, it took them 4 hours to get me from the lobby into the style chair. Style chair was more like the burn zone. Well, that is since the owner apparently trust the shampoo girl to flat iron your hair. She burned me twice, was stingy with the heat protectant (missed an entire section spraying and seemed baffled that I called her on it). Then worst of all, paused the iron on my ends (what the...). Owner finished my hair. I have very healthy hair but noticed when rubbing my hair it no longer had a smooth touch. When I got home, I noticed my ends had been fried. I will NEVER return to this shop or refer anyone who is hair health conscious. The owner may be good but a good business owner will ensure her staff is properly trained, use quality products, and take a class in patron process flow. I called my stylist of 5 years on the other side of Atlanta and she was very upset about this experience. She knows the health of my hair. Guess it's worth driving the 1 hour to my previous community to have my hair done RIGHT...and the now fried ends cut and repaired. more
