The Virginia Beach Aquarium and Marine Science Center is located on General Booth Blvd. We've never had to pay to go in because we know someone who's a member, so I don't know how much it is for admission. The place itself I thought was fairly small. It did however, have enough activities to keep the kids busy. The kids enjoyed touching everything that they were allowed to have a hands-on experience with. One of the kids we were with liked the starfish so much that she wanted to keep it. The employees are very knowledgeable of the animals and were able to answer our little one's questions without being technical about it.
If you have the time, and if you love, which I do, you must go on one of their boat trips. You might want to call in advance to see when they offer this. The trip itself is about an hour and a half and is a great way to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.
