I've been getting my hair cut here for at least a year. They do a good job with my hair, which can be difficult to cut well. They make a point of telling you that a scalp massage is 'complimentary,' but you could end up paying extra for other services without them telling you first (for example, $1 for a bottle of water). You may feel it's kind of tacky to ask if one thing or another will be an extra charge, but they don't feel it's tacky to charge you.
