We have been Allstate customers for over 10 years. We have always paid on time and always insured every one of our vehicles and our home to the max. The end of this summer we had a plumbing disaster under the house. When we found it, we called right away. They sent an adjustor out and he said he felt it had been there for over 2 weeks, so they were not going to cover. We told him we just found it and called right away. He apparently didn't believe us, or didn't care and said anything sitting for more than 2 weeks is not covered. Thankfully, our insurance agent called the adjust personally to explain to him that we were honest and good people. They called in a plumbing pro and when he gave his opinion, the adjustor changed his tune and decided to cover us. If it hadn't been for our personal agent, we would have had quite a bill that we couldn't have afforded. Very disappointed in Allstate for that. Before that, we had absolutely no issues with them.
