It's never enjoyable to shop at Walmart. You have to park halfway to the moon and watch out for speeding cars in the parking lot. You're greeted at the door and that feels appropriate because getting to the door is a major accomplishment. ("Here--have a sticker and congratulations on making it to the door of our huge box store.") So why do I go there? (I ask myself that almost every time I go.) They have a good selection of toys for not a lot of money. They have some seasonal items. They have household staples. Oh--and they're open 24 hours and they're relatively close to our house. That ropes us in more often than anything else. But it's never an enjoyable shopping experience. Not ever. I prefer to spend my money elsewhere.
