I used to go to West Oaks mall pretty frequently. It is a convenient location for me and offers several major department stores. Last year, they completed a major renovation that updated the whole mall with a Texas Ranch theme. They added a soft play area for toddlers and a nice food court. Unfortunately, the mall seems to be losing more and more stores though. In the past year, the following stores have left the mall: Gymboree, Gap, Gap kids, JC Penney and Mervyns. I think even more have closed, but those are the ones that I shopped in. I hope the mall stays viable, since it is the only "mall" I can get to without battling I-10.
