I think of Michaels primarily as an arts and crafts and framing store, so I am always mystified by the huge quantity they sell of plastic plants and flowers, seemingly dominating a big part of the store. What are these plastic plants about and what do people do with them? Anyway, Michaels also carries the materials for any craft you might like to make: wooden birdhouses to paint (and every possible color of paint to go with them), needlepoint pillows, beads to make jewelry with, origami papers, and the list goes on. There are also a lot of art kits at Michaels, and pre-packaged easy crafts for kids that make nice presents.
