When ever we are in the neighborhod of Fairfield, California we try and stop at the Jelly Belly Factory. They have tours that leave about every 15-20 minutes. There are elevated hallways with windows that look down onto the factory floor so you can see the jelly bellies being made. They tell interesting facts, like the coconut flavor was created for President Ronald Regan because he requested a red white and blue mix of Jelly Bellies and at the time they didn't have a white bean. There is a gallery of art work that is made entirely out of Jelly Bellies. And at the end, you get a quarter pound bag of Jelly Bellies. And the best part, at the gift shop, they sell "belly flops" which are deformed Jelly Bellies, in one pound bags for like $2 each! They taste great, they just don't have the perfect Jelly Belly shape. There is also a tasting counter where you can taste some flavors they are testing, and all of the other regular flavors they carry.
If you are in the area of Fairfield, California, I highly recommend this tour. It's a lot of fun.
