Why not come to the New Zoo in Brown County 1/8/2007

My husband took me to this zoo a year or so after we moved up here and I have to say it's one of my favorite zoo's in Wisconsin to visit. The NEW Zoo is one of only six AZA accredited zoo's in the country that does not receive local or regional tax support for the zoo's annual operating budget. "AZA" stands for Association Zoos and Aquariums. It's smaller then the Milwaukee zoo and to me, nicer. I like to read the bricks along the walk ways that were donated for passed on family members. I think about how many people love this zoo. Past and present. It's a new kind of an adventure. Feed the giraffe in their new home. Meet the bob cat that was someones pet for many years. A long with a wonderful selection of beautiful animals and reptiles. It is a very clean zoo and you can tell the people that work and volunteer there take a lot of pride in this zoo. The New Zoo is located 8 miles north of Green Bay, WI. They have a nice little concessions stand for that hot dog or popcorn urge. (Don't forget the nachos) They also have great holiday fun throughout the year. I like the trick or treating at the zoo, wouldn't mind trying the Easter egg hunt either. The admission prices are still very reasonable: New Zoo Pass Members - Free Children (2yrs & under) - Free Children (3 - 15yrs) - $2 Adult (16yrs +) - $4 Senior (62 yrs +) - $2 Family - $12 If you would like more information please see their website: http://www.thenewzoo.com/ For me this zoo is so well worth it. The kids won't get over tired out and you will all have a wonderful time! more
