An accidental find while driving up the California Coast, both the Beachcomber Cafe, and the town in which you can find it--Trinidad, are excellent finds. While the sun sparkles in this adorable little town, which reminds me in some ways of Santa Cruz--maybe it's just all the hippies about--you can sit outside and enjoy some of the interestingly good fare at the Beachcomber Cafe. Some of their plates include the Serious Hippie Bagel, which consists of hummus, olive tapenade, shredded carrots and red onions as well as the Snotty Hippie Sandwich which includes larrupin' sauce.
On cold days, you can wander inside, which is quite large, and busy the day we were there.
