Sure, it's a little seedy but if you want great deals on jewelry, pawn shops definitely deserve a look. My husband and I have found several deals at two of the Lev's locations. There is a small one near us where we've purchased TVs, CD players and DVDs. We've always been pleased with our purchases. The Main Street location however is larger with a much bigger selection of jewelry. We got engaged fairly young and didn't have a lot of money. We decided to look around one Saturday and found some beautiful rings at great prices at Lev's. My ring needed re-tipped because the prongs were worn but my husband had this done for a small price at International Diamond and Gold.
They not only carry engagement rings but bands, other stones, watches, bracelets, necklaces...just about anything you can imagine. And don't be afraid to haggle. Everything we've purchased from these stores, we've talked the price down at least somewhat.
