The first time I met The Man, I just had to run. I wasn't sure where I would run to. It was raining and windy outside and I wasn't dressed for it. But I think I thought I could run away from the heat burning out my insides. The Man is the hot sauce and Dixie's is a special place. Surroundings are spartan at best. It's an old car garage lined with picnic tables. And the service can sometimes remind you of that Soup Nazi episode on Seinfeld. But they do offer the best BBQ in the area and definitely the hottest sauce you'll ever meet. It's hard to find so look for it somewhat unmarked and tucked up beneath a corner of 405 and 520. It's crowded in the summer and a high tech hangout so expect to wait a while for simple treats like the 520 Special (sausage, BBQ meat, bun). And if you meet The Man (the spicy hot goop served from a small pan by the loud proprietor), look for the peanuts to help cut the heat.
