The Staunton YMCA has both its pros and cons. The major benefit is that it is conveniently located to downtown Staunton, only 2 or 3 minute drive from downtown. However, compared to the other major gym in the area (which is about a 15 minute drive), the YMCA isn't the most motivating workout spot. It is an older building and the majority of gym-goers are also old! The machines looked good, but with low ceilings, fluorescent lighting and cramped locker room, we chose the other local gym.
And the kicker is, YMCA is more expensive than the other, nicer gym!
