LaMar's truly is a Kansas City original and a Kansas City favorite. I like how the other reviewer said Krispy Kreme doesn't hold a candle to LaMar's. I definitely agree. The donuts at LaMar's have a homemade taste to them. The Lamar bar with white fluff filling is amazing. The donuts with cherry icing are very yummy also. I like that the taste is the same throughout all of the Lamar's shops. On Saturday mornings you'll often find yourself standing in line, but the shop is prepared and has plenty of donuts for everyone. The cake donuts are the best around and for those who like specialty donuts, Lamar's has a great selection of those too. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is very clean and nice.
