Java's is one of the cooler coffee places in town. The walls are covered with artwork from local artists, and the decor its kitchy and fun. They serve you standard coffee drinks, high-quality loose teas, and hot chocolate and cider drinks in season. There is also a small lunch counter that serves great sandwiches and soups midday. There are gigantic cookies, bagels and various goodies available all day. The coffee itself is actually not my favorite. It tastes like the beans are over-roasted a bit; kind of "burnt." This place is extremely popular with students, faculty and staff at the Eastman School of Music and they stay open late too!
